Retraining the Racehorse Check out Hunter's progress. From 2021 to 2025 this boy spent his life on the track earning over $64,000 and taking 1st place on three races. He know how to GO! After retiring, Hunter came to WRR where he has been transitioning into his new career as a trail horse. He has learned a nice walk, trot, whoa, and back up. His canter is coming along, but he is still learning that canter does not mean GO all or nothing. Hunter NOT available for adoption because we have already found his home with our long time volunteer, Lauren. We just wanted to share his progress with you. Phoebe is an icon that helped bring White Rock to existence. She was purchased by Isabel as a yearling and brought to the ranch upon Isabel's retirement as her personal riding horse. Although Phoebe did not grow to be the big trail horse that she expected she turned into something far more special. Phoebe could make anyone smile. She could make a beginner or advanced rider giggle like child. She had a huge personality and taught herself tricks! If she would have been permitted, we are fairly certain that she would have joined us at the table for meals and sat by the fireplace. White Rock won't feel the same without her.
